php command to destroy frames?

I have a logout script that I want to use but when it's clicked it only displays the items in the targetted frame

is there a way to destroy the frames from the initial and then display the logout message? or make it so after you are logged out in the frame you can click a link that restarts the initial frame page, but not within the currently set frames?

let me know if i am just confusing u, I'd paste code but i don't think it's necessary to solve this. is this just an html issue and i should just find some html gurus? =)

Set the hyperlink to have target="_top"

PHP doesnt have anything to do with it.
