How do i change a field that is VARCHAR(10) to VARCHAR(30)? Btw, This is mysql Thanks
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/ALTER_TABLE.html
When I did
ALTER TABLE blah.....
Mysql said the VARCHAR was changed when I did DESCRIBE blah; , but when viewing that info, it still only shows the first 10 chars of the longer entry.
Did I miss something?
changing a varchar-column's max-length doesn't let previously dropped chars 'return' to the field - they are gone. inserting new values longer than 10 chars should work as expected
