PHP+Sockets

hi,
i'm using PHP(4.2.3). I have installed it with an installer of PHP. I'm using the XP. I wana use sockets,but when ever i tried to use it ,it gives me undefine function error . should i use any dll ? and there is no dll folder in the php folder ?what should i do now ?

I dont think sockets are supported for Windows with PHP
