Inserting a date from a form into MySQL db

[NCC1701]

On my form i have a date field which is dd/mm/yyyy and im trying to make the date insert into MySQL database but im confused because MySQL dates are the wrong way round, how can i get round this?

They aren't wrong, they are just different than the "American" way.

when i said the wrong way round, MySQL displays it "yyyy-mm-dd" and ill think you will find our american friends use mm-dd-yyyy in their calender thank you very much.

Sounds like MySQL conforms to international standard ISO8601.
