With the news that Google have updated their blogger site, I was wondering how many people here have web logs?

Many of my friends have websites with some kind of online journal (mine is the link in my sig), but not many people here seem to.

I have one but I'd only give it out to people who PM me. I read Piersk's from time to time. 😉 Honestly, I am curious if Weedpacket has a blog.

I like the new blogger quite alot. I signed up for a test account for the heck of it and it's pretty easy to use and has the basic features. I've spent over a year now researching blog/cms tools and blogger has a good formula. It would be nice to have even more control of things, but then again, most of us around here are capable of putting together a better blogger than blogger if we wanted to...

You mean blogger.com? I got one of those just because I heard that some blogger.com users got gmail accounts... I didn't get one 🙁

I too am curious however to be truthful i doubt he will allow many into his life well on the internet anyway.

Yeah, but you don't have a blogger account (well, not that I know of) so how the hell did you get a gmail account?

i believe that if you upgrade to a paid blogger account they will invite you to a gmail account...i know people who got them that way...however, i'm not sure if they would if you registered today, right now...if you know what i mean...

you could probably buy one on ebay too...

but, why would a person want google indexing all their messages...including their spam? i can just see it in two years from now...a catastrophe...v

Mate of mine did an SMS blog... use your phone, or the net to send in messages - can be a little disjointed, but good fun all the same...

Also handles phone pics...

Thats quite impressive. How did he pick up the messages? Did he connect the phone to a computer/server? What OS?

Runs off a linux variant, and a cron job polls the phone every 2 seconds or so via a perl script.

You can get the phone data cable for the Nokias... sure that is what he uses...

Some nifty database work handles the rest courtesy of MySQL and PHP...

Good use of CSS as well....

London, whilst it is our capital, is a little way from Manchester, and time isn't really on my side.
