I don't know the error in this line... it's a parse error.

Are you echoing that? Show some more code. Give us like the 5 lines above that too. PHP won't throw a parse error on just regular HTML outside of PHP.

Here is what I'm trying to do. A parse error shows up.

you forgot to place some backslashes in the last line...
