inserting 100MB data

Hi,

Iam having 100MB[300000 insert statement] data file which i should insert in to database using php approx how long it will take iam opening a connection once and getting same object for each insert statement for me its taking about 14 min is that too long for this data i need clarification

That is a bit long - averaging at about 120KB/s transfer, including processing. If it's on a local box, it should be a LOT faster than that. But, without knowing exactly what code/processing is going on, that's just a guess. It could be perfectly reasonable.
