Issues with CURL

Hey all,

I'm trying to get CURL to go to a URL and log in for me. So far I havn't had any luck. Here's the code that I'm using (copied exactly from a website) but it doesn't work 🙁. It'll just go to the page, but not log in. Any ideas? (The login page is in CGI if that helps...)

Ok, tried that. It just gives me a 405 "Post method not allowed" error. Here's the code I used:

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url);

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_COOKIEFILE, "cook");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $data);

$result = curl_exec($ch);

curl_close($ch);

echo $result;

id is the name of the username field, and pw is the name of the password field..

A login script on a server that won't allow it to accept POST requests? That sounds like really sloppy work on the part of the server administrator.

Okay, if it won't accept POST requests then we can only hope it will accept GET requests. Tack the $data onto the end of the URL being requested (use a ? to separate it from the rest of the URL, of course). Obviously, dropping the cURL POST options will also be necessary.
