There is no last record in a relational DBMS.

You can only retrieve data by specifying values for columns. What do you mean by last record?

probably should have explained this a bit better.....

Is there a way to call the last row (in this case, the last product) in the table? What I would like to have is a button on my site that will automatically go to the last product in the table.

You would need to use LIMIT and ORDER BY.

ORDER BY causes the dbms to return the rows in requested order. Postgresql is a database not a spreadsheet engine, so asking for the last row of a table isn't what you really intended here.
