Preg_match question

Hi,

I have a quick question. I have a line using preg_match and I need help figuring out the regular expression.

I'm trying to match anything that has a word, or a word...space...word.

For instance, it finds: First
But will not find: First Name

The other catch is there might be special characters after the first word, such as: List $

Here's what I've got but it won't pick up anything with spaces, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

if ( preg_match("/VALUE=\"(\S+)\"/", $line, $match ))

What exactly are the requirements?

For example:
word1 word2 word3
does not match your requirements, since word3 is an additional word.
In other words, you need to be complete and precise about what you want.

It would be good if you explained what you are trying to do.

I thought I did.

I'm trying to find anything like:

1. VALUE="word" ... or
2. VALUE="word space word" ... or
3. VALUE="word space special character such as $"

with what I have, the first one works, but the second two fail because of the spaces, and I'm sure the special character. Let me know if I can provide any more info.
