Undefined variable in windows IIS

just wondering if there is a way to fix this kind of problem in windows IIS as webserver and PHP Version 4.3.4 installed on my win2k pro pc.

i always got this Undefined variable error when im going to make an IF statement without declaring the varaiable from the script as 0 or character

i only excounter this in my ISS but i tried my code in apache and it work properly without assigning the variable.

i even have the same php.ini on my pc..

what do u think would be the problem here and how can i make a solution on this??

The obvious solution is to make sure that variables are defined before you use them....
