[UNRESOLVED] Unresolving Threads...

Once you have finished with a thread, and it is all sorted (or so you think) you mark it resolved....

BUT....

What happens if you then notice that it is not resolved... what options do you have then ?

Possibility for having a "Make thread unresolved" for the thread starter ???

Ideas on a postcard / in a poll please...

Make thread unresolved would be a great idea! But I don't think they'll do it until they upgrade to vB3.

Not sure how the current hack is implemented, but I just developed one for SMF (the free vB 😉) which added a column in the topics table which was essentially a flag. 1 = resolved, 0 = unresolved. It automatically changes the link to be "Resolve Topic" or "Unresolve Topic". You can specify exactly what the topic prefix is in the ACP too. So it doesn't have to just be "[RESOLVED] " it can be "[COMPLETE] " or something else 😉

I'm guessing something like that would be much easier to handle if that's not how it's implemented now. Just thought I'd throw out a suggestion.

And the reason these keep coming back as "new posts" is that when someone votes on a poll (even if they don't comment on it) - it's considered to be "new" 🙂
