Hey guys,

Thanks to the help of the info I found on the forum I have made

It is just a quick image hosting page, great for forum images, ebay images, sending pics to friends on AIM when you can direct connect.

Feel free to use it, and thanks for the tips.

what will replace the graphic after the 30 period? i suggest an alternate image, describing the site, and listing the images filename, just because a lot can be gotten from some filenames.

Currently my cron jobs delete the old files... but yeah thats a good idea. I'll do that.

Does it have a seperate date for ever file? or if I uploaded an image on the 29th day would it be removed the next? Just curious..

Not too sure I understand your question. Images stay up for 30 days after they are uploaded, it doesnt matter what date you upload it.

he was just worried if the cron job deleted ALL images at teh end of every month, instead of doing the Right Thing and checking the timestamps (either on the file or in the database)

yeah sorry, cron job checks database for datestamp.

well... if you force people to run their image through a grabber file with an ID in the query string, you could use GD to throw on a watermark with something like 'Image hosted by putfile.com' in a corner, translucent.

I thought about watermarks or loading the pictures in a page (picture.php?pic=3944994) but that is what makes putfile stand out from the others, it doesnt imprint on your images, and it doesnt bash you with advertising!
