i am trying to install my website but am getting this error code

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'perfectc_jobs@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/hostingc/public_html/conn.php on line 13

on line 13 it says

$connection = mysql_connect($db_host, $db_username, $db_password) or die(mysql_error());

please sum1 help

seems you have entered a wrong username or password for your sql dbase 🙂 check your config files... you might aswell check you sql is the database DOES actually excist 😉

anyway. this sort of questions are more easy resolved when you read the errors better and try to understand them....

"access denied"... can think of yourself what that means eh?? 🙂

seems like you dont know sh*t from sql? maybe not even php?

first try and tell us what script your using, how do we know where the config files are? have you checked up some readme included with the files? maybe its just there...

anyway to check for the dbase just login on your webhost program and from there to sql... all dbase should be listed somehow... But that depends on the webhost aswell and if you do not tell us whats there we cannot really help you!:mad:

try and gather some more information next time you ask questions

hi ur rite i dont no shit abar php, sql. I downloaded these files from a website i bought, i am now trying to upload them to a hosting account. When i go to my site 051hosting.com, the error thing comes up. How would i find the config files. there is no read me file, just the scripts. wHAT DO YOU MEAN what script am i using. i dont understand. Plz help

hmm so your owning a www domain, bought some scripts. but you cannot really work with it😕 lol

well you could try create an file called: server.php

inside it you place:

<?php
phpinfo()
?>

save the file
upload it to your server and run the url... a table comes up telling you what modules and stuff are installed on the server... if it doesnt work then there is no PHP available and you could as well stop trying to install 🙂 since it just wont work without !

ok, when you opened the file that table should appear

look in it for keywords like MySQL PHP GD FTP that sort of thing. Its a long list but take your time to look at it!!!

then post in this topic which versions of PHP and MYSQL you have... also try and provide us with the name of your script (website) the thing youre trying to install... get it? 🙂

it is not letting me save the server.php thing. Plz visit www.perfectcareers.net this iis the website i am trying to install. Also what do u mean i have no php available. The perfectcareers.net is hosted on the same server.

im not saying you have no php. im suggesting that it can be!

though, do you receive an error when trying to upload the server.php?

allricht i looked through the table...

i tells me you have PHP4.3.3 MySQL 3.23.49 and Apache 1.3.29

Thats good. now. you have to delete the file to prevent others from viewing it 🙂

also try and login to sql on your server to create a database... i cannot help you with that,,, in fact i think noone on this forum can since no one knows what script you use and therefor noone can tell you which tables must be created and such.... so thats something you have to get from the readme or biltin installation (if any) 🙂

anyway... try and look for a readme or contact the people you got the website from!

you might have readed the file?

Also you might have seen sensitive things like ip addresses, operating systems and such , it tells people exactly what kind of server it is...

people who want to do bad. can use that info to hack your server!
