[Resolved] Mail Delivery Failed

hi, i am wanting to ease my work load by sending email through mail() using a while loop

however on all the domain names apart from the host of my website i get this returned to my mail inbox

how can i change my mail() settings so i can send to servers such as hotmail, yahoo etc

This may not necessarily just be a php issue.

There could be several factors here. Your web hosting company may be missing a reverse dns entry (which can affect mail), or your IP address could be listed in spam databases.

What is your domain name? We can do some checks to see if this is the case.

It could also be the way you are forming your mail headers. Can you post your code for your mail script?

The dns report website is down right now, so I can't check that.

Your headers do look ok, but lets simplify them just to give it a shot. Try:

$headers = "From: [email][e-mail][/email] <> \n";
$headers .= "Reply-To: [email][e-mail][/email]\n\n";

And remove all of the other headers you have.

Put your own information into the the from and reply to of course.

that seems to have worked

i didnt have the html header in it so i had to send it again with it in, so i have about 30 people with 2 emails about the exact same thing!!

i hope they dont get annoyed

No problem, I'm glad that worked.

I know I ran accross problems like that with yahoo and hotmail as they are a little bit strickter on their mail headers.
