Getting IP Info Using PHP

Hi
Im trying to develop a site that tracks user stats for companys i.e. ip address, entry page extc.

What im am actually looking to do is to break down the ip address and using it to retieve details such as country, state and host. is there any way of PHP or some other coding language getting this information.

I've seen loads of other sites that can do this.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
