Project Management System

Does anybody know of a decent project management system written in PHP?

I am using CVS to manage a project, but there is a lot going on in the project, and we need a central place to pass messages, maintain to-do lists, and keep a log of bug fixes/features etc..

If there isn't one, is there any interest in my writing one??

I bumped into dotproject yesterday. I've installed it and it looks like its going to do everything I need it to do. I was checking just now, and it doesn't look like it has an easy way of logging bugs, fixes, and features. I'm not sure it would be a good fit for you. But it might be something to checkout.

Might be a bit extreme, but you could try GForge. It's the open source version of the software that runs SourceForge (before it went closed source).

Little known fact: Tim Perdue, the guy who developed and ran PHPBuilder before internet.com took it over used to work on sourceforge...

I'm currently writing a project management/contact management system for a client's intranet... keeps track of current consulting projects and user's comments working on the projects.. also keeps track of contacts and where they work, have worked in the past, etc. Unfortunately the system is proprietary to them. 🙂

Hmm, dunno how little known it is, if you read the site.

I seem to recall him mentioning it at least once. "When I was building SourceForge" ... pretty heavy, (but cool) statement....
