Which holiday?

Here in Belgium it's a holiday. Street are quiet, nobody is around.

However, I have no idea what holiday it is...

Is it a holiday where you are (and what holiday is it)?

It's Ascension day, the fortieth day afetr Easter which marks the day that Jesus ascended to heaven (for those interested, Mark 16:19, Luke 24:51, and in the first chapter of the Acts of the Apostles).

Not a public holiday in the UK, but it is in the Netherlands (at least I know that Shell offices are closed over there)
