Securing information?

Hello,

Im currently using md5 to secure my users passwords. But I got a problem when it comes to Bank information. You see, if i use md5 on a bank numner (if i understood right) i can never change back the entrypted string to the bank number. And i need the bank number to be able to make payments.

Im currently not hosting the website on my computer whitch makes the information very unsecure.

Is there another way to crypt the information and then engrypt back or are there any other solutions?

Firstly lets get one thing straight md5() is not encryption its a one way hash.

Encryption is something that can be encrypted and decrypted following some sort of algorithm.

There arent many encryption functions within PHP mcrypt is the only one that comes to mind.

mcrypt is very good, especially if you use rijndael-256!
