Test my panel of php experts

Hi,
I have recently set up a panel of experts on my forums to answer webmaster related questions.

I am just looking for a bit of help to test the experts. So if you have some obscure php related question or problem with a script, would you like to post it in the php section over at - www.hostcompanies.com/forums .

I am hoping to test my experts by doing this and get some more php posts because i have not had many so far. I am going to start a big competition soon, so i need to see how my experts respond to some good questions.

You can see the experts in the drop down list located top right of my forums.

If anyone else has good knowledge and would like to join the panel... please let me know.

You come on a php forum to tell us to ask questions on another php forum? Yeah, that's appropriate...

Well it depends.. everyone has a different interpretation of what an expert is.

My experts panel consists of various advisors with different knowledge in various fields.
I want to see how they might fair aganst some good php questions. If they don't do too well then i may try to get one or more new experts in php before i do my competition.

I am just trying to build up my forums so that when people post there is an expert in every field that might be able to deal with that post.

Once i have a good panel in place then i am hoping my competition will produce some new members and start to fill the forum up with decent posts.

Knowone likes to join an empty forum... or inactive forum, i am trying to encourage people to sign up and use the forums.

I get a good amount of traffic, i have some good search positions but the sign ups are slow.

This is the best route for me to handle that problem.

Hmmm.... is it just me that thinks that posting on a forum to get people to go to another forum is pretty stupid??

Especially when it's in completely the wrong forum to post in...

PHPBuilder has over 50,000+ members, so I don't think that anyone is going to bother going on your site when this site has such an enormous knoweldge base.

Exactly! I am not trying to get people to move to my forum, i just wanted to see how a few posts by people really knowledgeable in php would do on my forums. Its just to test out the response of my experts.

I will get my members through competitions in the future.

So you want us to go there, pretend to be newbies, ask questions that requires a techie to answer, and then observe the response?

I was going to observe the response before launching some compeitions for new members... thats it.

I promise there is no magical force that will prevent you from ever leaving and force you to stay.

instead of us making up problems for your experts, why not get your experts to sign up at phpbuilder and answer some genuine problems, and you keep an eye on them here.

I don't really have time for that weekender, in fact i have run out of time. I will be launching the competitions soon.

Don't worry about it - i don't need any php posts now.

What I find amazing is that you have a seemingly inexhaustible supply of experts that you can tap into for your forum. I'm certainly not an expert, and you'd be hard pressed to find more than a handful here at PHPBuilder that a) think they are an expert and b) truly are an expert.

I think we'd all like to meet these experts... you should have them come over to PHPBuilder. Just tell them to tell us HostDirectory sent them. We'll be nice... 😉

I never knew there was anyone that could call themself an expert, especially with programming unless of course you are the one that created the language :p

My experts / gurus are matched in excellence only by their working enviroments.

Each member of my panel owns their own delux auro working area - The Aura

I am in the process of purchasing a new upgraded underwater model for the budding php experts... just for php builder community members that might want to join my panel.
