flash communicate with PHP or javascript

i search and search through web, i couldnt find the answer it like 3weeks from where i started
so i guess i goto post at phpbuilder

i made a page, sort of stats simulator, caluclator where can add points.
using php alone to add points end up refesh page once per add a point.

I tried using javascript but failed because i dunknow how.
afterall it is done with applet but through testing i found applet isnt smooth at all and 10 person test 5 person cannot view because no applet install.

will u install something if the page requiered, normall out of 100 only 5 will.

so since javascript i failed i now putting hope on flash
the image which is a box, at certain cordinates need to be echo value and click arrow another varible will change value, how is it possible to use flash to communicate with PHP?

complete failare on javascript because i dunknow how to write
trying on flash but i dunknow how too.

can someone take alook see how can it be done without applet, maybe in javascript ot flash?

i donwloaded the book, but cant figure out how to read it, it like talking abt forum
