Variables in url

I have three variables
$tsg_us
$tag_uk
$tag_ca

and $lang= one of the three (us,uk,ca)

in making a $url can i do this and if that would work

$url=$server[$lang] /$tag_$lang

would $tag$lang be considered as equal to one of the three variable tags above depending upon $lang...and if not how do i do this..
$tag$lang=$tag_us if $lang=us

Combine them into a $tag array intead

$url = $server[$lang] . '/' . $tag[$lang];
