[Resolved] Display contents (all gifs) of a folder

Does anyone have, know of where I may find one, or how I would go about building a script that will simply display all the images in my images directory?

Even if it showed the image and listed the address after would be fine, I am pretty open on the whole thing.

I just don't want to have to update a static page each time I add an image to the folder.

And I am not sure what to search for to find such a script, I tried in here and found nothing that was of use.

Try something like this:

$dir = "/var/www/images";
if(is_dir($dir)) {
   if($d = opendir($dir)) {
      while(($file = readdir($d)) !== false) {
         /* This if statement will look for .gif extensions */
         if(substr($file, -3) == "gif") {
            echo "<img src=\"".$dir."/".$file."\" border=\"0\" /><br />";
         }
      }
      closedir($d);
   }
}
