https and forms

Hi!

I have a little question.
I have a php-file with an ordinary form there people can register for my site, nothing fanzy, just an simple form.

Now I want to use https, because it´s phonenumber, adress and so on I sent with that form, I want to put that file in to my map httpsdocs on the server.

Will my php-file work if I just put the file there or is it something I have to do to get it to work?

I hope you understand my english, english isn´t my mother tongue 🙂

This question may be a bit obvious, but ya can never be too careful:

Do you actually have a secure server set up to run? If you do, then there should be no problem, as long as it is configured correctly on the machine.

I develop this site for another guy and on the server there he has his site it´s possible to run https.
That is what he told me anyway. 🙂
