Hi All,

I live in Pennsylvania and i'm on the look out for a full-time position as a PHP Programmer. I have around 3 years experience on PHP and MySQL. Its almost a year now and i've been hunting for a job and basically lost touch with the language...

i was hunting for some good projects and books that will really put me back into the coding scene and make me feel more confident while giving any interview...Any help on suggestions on this front...

Don't wait for a job to come to you before you get back into coding. Think of a project and write it. Not only will you improve your programming (assuming you pick a suitably challenging idea), you'll have something to show people in job interviews.. and improve your chances of getting a job.

But please, for the love of God, don't write another bloody forum. Think of something vaguely original.

Also handy is not just talking about the work you've done, but SHOWING the work you've done. Even if its just side projects you do for yourself, showing/demonstrating them will let the employer see you've actually put some code together. This can mean a lot in a job interview...
