statement recall advice

Hi all,

I need a little advice on a program that I am writing. Its for a Canteen, the employees order their breakfast and lunch on this program from drop down menu's which are populated by a database. When they have finished ordering what they want they submit the order. They are sent to a database and stored.

On this program there is an option fro the employees to see their statement for certain time periods.e.g.
Today
Last Week
Last month
Last 2 months

Now i've tried using dates for the strSQL but they won't work for some reason. The date is entered into the database the same time as the employee makes his\her order but when I try to use the date to recall the statement it will not work....

Can someone please think of a better way of doing this or at least a way that will work...

Can you show some code, or explain further? Dates are used all the time in databases so their should be something right. It's not something as simple as having a timestamp field in the database that's getting updated to the current time during an update, is it?
