one page (newbie quiestion)

What i want to do is have one page hold all the site data. so when you click a link on the one page it just replaces the center data with new data that is located some where on the same page

Is this possible ? and is there a piece of sample code anywhere .

Sure, lots of sites (including several of my own) use something very similar.

Let's say you have a link that goes to file.php?page=content. File.php is the file that you have your template in, and, somewhere, you want to include the "content" file. This can easily be done with include/include_once or require/require_once. An example:

<?php
// file.php?page=content
echo 'all your <html> and what-not';
include $_GET['page'].'.php'; // includes 'content.php' at this point
echo 'more <html>';
?>

Thanks for your reply. Sorry i am a little slow have all the content in a new file .

When you click on the link how would it know where to get the info to replace the center data

OK let me see if i can explain this a little better.

When you go to index.php on my site the center content will show "hello". on the left menu one of the buttons with say "contact us". what i want to do is replace the center content

"hello" with the contact us info. but keep everything on the same page
example

$contact = " call us at 1800-55443";

so when you click on the contact button it replaces hello with the right info.

sorry if i am not explaining it right very new to PHP.
