incorporating news script into my site

my page is currently set up like this:
1. header
2. menu
3. page ex. about, contact, etc...
4. footer

i built a working news script with comments.

the problem is that the url for my pages is like so...

http://www.xxxx.com/index2.php?page=about
http://www.xxxx.com/index2.php?page=contact ... etc

now when i try and work my news script it would be this
http://www.xxxx.com/index2.php?page=news

the problem is that when someone clicks comments for a new post to bring you to comments for that page, it change the url to news.php instead of the index2.php?page=news

http://www.xxxx.com/news.php?action=show&id=2

im sorry im new to all this. is there a different way i should be approaching this matter ? any advice/help give would be greatly appreciated. thanks

i would edit the news script and make any reference to news.php a var

then at start of news.php you could set var with

$var="index2.php?page=news";

remembering in news.php if you add vars to the url to start they need to be &nextvar=test not ?nextvar=test
