Windows / Unix Php different?

Hi my name is Steve and I am currently working on my senior sem project for my B.S in Computer Science. I have written a web page using php that connects to a mssql database, I have it totally working correctly on a UNIX server. Well my teacher is complainning that he wants it on his Server 2003 machine and when I copied the files to his machine they do not work. He keeps saying that php for UNIX and php for Windows in different could anyone help me?

There's differences in certain functions. What "doesn't work"? Explain the problem and show some code.
