[Resolved] Problem with PHP links

Hey all,

Basically.. i'm making a script to change a list from displaying either 6 or 12 listings to a page.

At the moment i have:

<? print "<a href=\"".$_SERVER["PHP_SELF"]."?".$_SERVER["QUERY_STRING"]."&view=6\" class=bodylistings>6</a>\n"; ?>

but after a few clicks of the links, the address bar starts to look a bit like this:

.../listings.php?page1=1&view=6&view=12&view=6&view=12&view=6&view=12&view=6

Ugly, eh?

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction with that one.

you can do this at the beginning of your script.

$SERVER['QUERY_STRING'] = preg_replace("/view=(\d+)&?/", "", $SERVER['QUERY_STRING']);

now it's starting to look a little like this:

.../listings.php?pid=wheels_rims&&&&&view=12

at least it works now tho.. but i have to get rid of those '&''s

you could try the following instead, since i see you put view=xx at the end of the query string.
what i gave before works for the beginning.

$SERVER['QUERY_STRING'] = preg_replace("/&?view=(\d+)/", "", $SERVER['QUERY_STRING']);
