e-mail interruption?

I use mail() to send out e-mail.

All works fine before, but then I received a report, in an e-mail, the number

1,495.00 becomes 1,495!.00 with an extra "!" .

But then I tried again to mirror the error, it never shows again.

It is an e-mail sent out to different language set up users. And this one happens to be a Dutch e-mail, and the user may set up his e-mail language set as he wishs.

The problem is that now he didn't change any set up, he was fine before and he was fine now. He only receive this "1,495!.00 " for once.

Will that be simply e-mail interruption?

I am using php mail() to send e-mail to this Dutch client.

The e-mails he received were fine before.

But this morning, he reported, there is a extra "!" shows up in two of the e-mails I send to him.

At the same time, these e-mails were cc to me, that there are no extra "!" in the copies I received.

In other test e-mails I send to him, no extra "!" shows. Only in two of the e-mails he got.

What is the problem? Interruptions happens in his POP server of his ISP?

He said the "!" shows in a line break. Such as the it was supposed to be EUR. It breaks to E!, and next line start with UR.

Help please!

What platform and version of php are you using? I've mentioned on here before that there's a bug in the windows version php 433 and earlier that causes that kind of thing.
