uploading the file with records

hi guys,

just a simple question: how do I get the actual filename of the attachment I wish to upload? whenever I get the name of the attachment field for filenames, I end up getting the temp filename instead of the actual name of the file. I'm putting up a respository for attachments and I wish to log the attachments being posted.
