Leading zeros?

How can I get mySQL to add leading zeros to the ID? So all my user ID's are 4 digits. 0001, 0002, 0003, 0198, etc...

Define the column as a zero padded int when you create the table.

CREATE TABLE `blah` (
`id` INT UNSIGNED ZEROFILL NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT ,
PRIMARY KEY ( `id` )
);

LPAD() to do it in MySQL

Just left pad them in the SELECT as putting extra zeros on the INSERT will do nothing (assuming your ids are stored as integers, which they should be).
