Is somone messing with me?

I'm having problems with running some of my PHP scripts. I cannot see how these problems are even possible unless either somone has hacked me and is messing with my files or there is a serious problem with the server!

I have a php script that uses GD an TTF to create and display a .png image from the variable $artist. When I input the "Gnosis" as the $artist it somtimes prints "anosis". After refreshing the page serveral times it returns to Gnosis. This should not be possible! Without processing the inputed variable it is not possible to output "anosis" from an inputed Gnosis.

The latest problem is an sql statment in a newsletter script that should update a row in my db is deleting the row instead of updating it. This is also not possible unless I use the "DELETE FROM" statment in the script which I dont.

I contact my host and we've solved the GD problem. The was a prob with my script. :eek: :eek: :eek:

Typcal newbie wasting everyones time again!🙁

Don't feel bad. You've asked some very good questions from what I've seen.

If it isn't too in-depth, what exactly was wrong with the last two scripts? I couldn't think of any reason they'd be acting the way they were.

By the way, I've almost posted some questions waaay simpler than the ones you've posted. 😃 I'm glad I was too stubborn to ask anybody!

The problem with the gd script was that I was inputing a lowercase 'g' instead of a capital. Becouse of the size and position on the text it looked like an 'a'!

This is what was causing the problem with the newsletter script:

I changed "1 week" to "One week ago".

It took me 11 hours to figure that one out! Should have somthing in a presentable state within the next 10yrs at this rate. :rolleyes: :eek: :rolleyes:
