Apache + PHP + ICS = Nothing!

Hey, I'm new to the forum but anyways.
I want to install Apache and PHP and hopefully MySQL later on, but whenever I run Apache I get no errors or anything but when I goto 127.0.0.1 the brower says: HTTP 500 internal server error.

The other thing is I have ICS(Interenet connection sharing) My computer(the server) has 2 NICs one with the interenet going into it, and one with a crossover cable going to the other computer.

I was trying to run Xitami and it worked whenever I disabled ICS but I need to have ICS running in order for my other computer to be working.

I'm also using Windows XP Pro

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Are you able to get get the default Apache page when attempting to view it from computer running Apache or is this a problem only when viewing it from your second computer connected via the crossover cable?

I know you said you need to have ICS running so your second computer can access your web server, but:

Can you disable ICS and report back if that allows you to see the default Apache page? If that fixes your problem, we can point back to an ICS problem versus an Apache set-up issue.

I'm just trying to minimize the points of failure in your set-up or have you at least give us more info on what you've tried so far.

What have you done to confirm that Apache is running? This is from the "Services" panel or the fact that you received no error messages to indicate it had failed?

Well I don't need to access it with the other computer, I just need the other computer to have the internet on it. And no I don't get the default page loading up when i connect to localhost its just HTTP 500 internal server error.

Please provide more info on what you're tried so far in the area of checking Apache. For example, can you go into Services and see if the Apache service is running?

Provide as much info as you can so I can help you troubleshoot.

Yes Apache is running as a service. Here is my error log:

The weird thing is, is that I tried running this program call BadBlue(www.BadBlue.com) and it worked for a little while but then I keep getting that stupid HTTP 500 internal server error. I also tryied disabling ICS but it still doesn't work, so its gotta be something to do with the settings of my NIC's or something.
Another weird thing, is that I used to run Apache with PHP on this SAME computer a long time ago, but I don't remember what I did that time.

I'm starting to get pissed!
