In search of an IDE

Hello,

I know about the IDE post, i need a specialist IDE for PHP editing and have the feeling that most of the people who would know what i am talking about will gloss over the current topic.

I need a standalone IDE, basically i need a syntax highlighting IDE that does not need to be intsalled at all.

I am using my laptop as a server (well will be when i can be bothered to get a linux distro working with my wifi card, i am using Apache, PHP, MYSQL, PERL, ASP through windows XP Pro ATM).

I want to be able to edit files on the laptop and edit on my PC (bigger screen resolution so i can see more of what i am trying to do). At the moment i edit the files by making the working dir shared and just editing them over the network.

So does anyone know a decent editor to match my requirement?

Are you using Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox or Netscape as your browser? If so, you may want to look at this: OneClick. It includes something called CuneAform OE, which is a WYSIWYG editor.

Well, that would probably have been answered in the PHPEditors thread, especially if you'd bothered to do a bit of research and click on the links :rolleyes:

But i aint got the time to read it all. Also click on every link for every IDE i had not used b4 then download it/read the website for the magical standalone word.

I did skim through it, but nothing came up. I searched for IDEs on google and lycos and did not come up with much (a few text editors)

I had a look at zend and will put it on my laptop. But these all need installers; something i cannot use for the time being.
