blocking manual date change

Have a 30 day trial period for a service, however I just realized that users will be able to manually set their clock dates back which will obviously let them have an extended use of the trial period indefinitely. What are some work arounds to this problem? After a user registers would I somehow have to increment a field interger value by one and have this execute daily for a users row? Or is there some other easier workaround?

I'm confused about this. I'm not sure if this is an issue or not.

All the date information will be taken from whatever server my site is hosted on correct? and not the user's computer.....maybe this seem like a stupid question but it's got me thinking in conundrum terms................

Ok, I've narrowed down my question........

When I use

<? $today = date("m/d/y");?>

Will that take the date from the server in which I'm hosting my site on, or the user's computer ??
