[Resolved] Array Sequencing...

Maybe it is too hot - or my head can't take it - but I just can't get a grip on this one...

if I have an array like
0=> 700
1=> 700
2=> 700
3=> 702
4=> 702
5=> 701

I am looking to get a number sequence (in another array) of
0=> 3
1=> 2
2=> 1

So that the number of times that 700 appears (together - not split up) would be three... etc

So having 700,700,702,702,702,700,700 would appear as:
2,3,2

Any ideas ?

Sounds easy enough:

function getSequence($array) {
	$size = count($array);
	if ($size > 0) {
		$ret = array();
		$current = $array[0];
		$count = 1;
		for ($i = 1; $i < $size; $i++) {
			if ($array[$i] == $current) {
				$count++;
			} else {
				$current = $array[$i];
				$ret[] = $count;
				$count = 1;
			}
		}
		$ret[] = $count;
		return $ret;
	} else {
		return false;
	}
}
