[Resolved] Query: WHERE (email != NULL)?

I'm fiddling with this while a board room of people wait for me, ack.

I'm trying to do a query that will exclude any records that do not have any information in them (they are blank). But I can't seem to make it work...

(email != NULL) = gives me NO results at all...
(email != 'NULL') = ALL results
(email != '') = ALL results

How should I be doing this?

In case anybody should have as stupid a question as me someday, this did the trick...

(email <> '')

hmm... what about

email IS NOT NULL

I dont usually use '!=' in SQL as I first learnt with '<>', so I never noticed this.

Yeah, I was just having a major brain fart. You're right, I shouldn't have been trying to use that in the first place.

I keep forgetting that I can actually use stuff like IS NOT NULL.
