XP SP2 - changes to IE

I'm not going to pretend I understand half of it, however, I'm sure it'll be of interest to some.

I thought that there weren't going to be any changes to IE until Longhorn came out... or was that just that they weren't goin to make any major changes.

This is just a list of security updates for handling downloaded files.

Hmm its not all about that. There is a bit on there Popup Blocker and a few others.

To be completely honest this service pack was suppose to be released a very long time ago (well at least thats the impression i got). The only reason i can think for the delay in (public release im well aware of the beta) is that software companies are hurrying up updating there software and getting to release patches so they work under the new Service Pack.
