Display 1 line from textfile

Hi!

I have a page in php that displays what´s in a textfile. Now I just want to display the first row in the textfile. How do I do that?

Here is the code:

@readfile("11001.txt");

echo "<BR><BR>";

@readfile("11002.txt");

?>

The code already works... I came up with another idea of how I should use the page.

Now the other problem is that I need the first line of text in the textfile on an own row (I´m truly sorry for my crappy english). Now it´s just one big lump so i need to format the text.

How the text looks now in the textfile:

My Headline Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna.

How I want it to be:

My Headline
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna.

Strings

The solution I came with uses POSIX reguluar expressions:

<?php

$string = file('test.txt'); //read each line from the file into an array.

eregi("(My Headline) ([a-zA-Z,. ]+)", $string[0], $stringPart); //eregi searches for the string "My Headline" and any number of letters and/or periods and commas after that. The results are stored in a variable called $stringPart.

print "$stringPart[1] <br /> $stringPart[2]"; 

?>

Hi again!

I know I have asked this before but I just needed to check again:

Is it possible to get a .txt-file from an FTP-server to view in the browser?
What I need to do is to get the textfiles from the server and display them on a php-page.

Someone said that it is only possible when the textfiles are on a http-server...
