Maybe this will help...
If you go to the following URL you can see what I'm trying to accomplish...
http://www.bnrestaurants.com/test/search/search_form.php
Go ahead and look, I'll wait...
Ha!
Here is what I've accomplished so far...
The results that are returned are based on the min and max rent set in the form...
There is an include in the loop that takes the listing's ID and compares the values of the checkboxes in the form to each individual listing. This results in a percent match which is loaded into the variable $match_percent...
There should be 5 results per page...
Each listing should link to a detail page based on the ID...
Here are the last 2 problems I need to solve to complete this...
By adding the pagination, I lost the values for the checkboxes on the form for any page other than the first. This means that for every listing outside of page 1 the value for $match_percent will be 0...
I would like the results to be ordered by the 'Match Percent' column....
Here is the solution that would kill 2 birds with one stone...
Since I can display all of the information I'm looking for in an HTML table, why not load it all up into an array...?
Hopefully then, when I display the contents of the array, I can order it by the 'Match Percent' column. Also, the listings won't lose their $match_percent value during the pagination because it will be set before the new array is loaded...
Did I explain properly...?
It seems like it should be simple enough, but I just started using PHP 2 weeks ago...
Once I get this part done I can load all of the code into my HTML templates and have a working site...!!!!!
You said earlier how my structure was funky...
Are there any suggestions on how to fix it up...?
If this is giving you a headache, feel free to move on to the next thread...!
I'm going to try to set up a basic array and work my way up to what I need...
