Problem on P 3.0 Ghz Hyper-Trading

Hi....I've an Hyper-Trading 3.0 Ghz and i'm tryin' to install mysql 4.0.20 or higher but i can't 'couse it give me always an error, it can't find a library...it's the first time that i see this error and i use the same version on other PC (no Hyper Trading) and all work well....I would like to know if someone has had the same problem with mysql >= 4.0.20

What OS are you running?
How are you installing MySQL? setup.exe in windows, rpm or pkg in linux, source code build?
What library can't be found (i.e. show us the error message)
