edit picture after upload

hi,
i'm searching for a tool to edit pictures after the upload to the server
my current solution for a webpage is to limit the size of pictures the user is allowed to upload
but what i want is to give the user a possibility to upload any picture, edit it like resize or clip a part and activate it when its in the right size
something like photoshop without admin rights on the server

can anybody help me?

You could look at the GD functions of PHP, which can resize the images on the fly....
