Change CSS Stylesheets

Hey all,

I have made my website (http://www.GuitarAd.co.uk) and I want to have many different colour schemes for example a green version. Now I have a stylesheet running all my colours so it is easy to change the colours but to define which stylesheet to use isnt. When a user first visits my website I want to somehow log them, pref without using cookies or ip's lol. They will choose which colour scheme they want then depending on which scheme they choose depends on the stylesheet which is loaded. The main question im asking is how can I log thier preferences?

but surely wouldnt session only store it for that time only? So regular visitors would have to select thier prefered stylesheet everytime they visit would could be up to 20 times a day? - I can manage to change the stylesheet its just the best way of storing the perfered values of the user.

Well in that case you're going to have to set a cookie, I'm afraid it's the only way. Why do you not wish to use cookies?

Cookies...and you wouldn't need PHP for that even. I've done it before and javascript setting the cookies was the way to go...

Unless, of course, this site is a user based system. Then you could have the css preference as a field in the users table and pull it out when they log in.

Yeah, it is a member login site so I think I will have the change stylesheets only available for members, thanks!
