Blogger in Flash or HTML?

Im doing a personal project for myself. It's a Flash based blogger.. im already seeing lots of the benefits of using flash over HTML however, i completely stop this morning, thinking.. can search engines index my flash blog contents???

It seems that the neatest thing about blogs is that it really attracts a lot of spiders to your site and you get index for numerous found in your daily blogs..

So..... what do you guys think? is it ok to continue my humble project? is there a way for spiders to catch my blog contents?

there was a post a while back along these lines - i think Elizabeth pointed out that google does index .swf's, but i'm unsure of others.

thanks for your reply moonglobe, but what i really wanted to know if search engines, at least google, can make use of your content displayed in swf's?

I noticed that sometimes when i search for something, i get redirected to a blog, just because my search query was on the blog the owner of the site wrote.. And that is indeed a good potential to increase hits.. im wondering if this is possible with contents in swfs?

Why not look at the $_SERVER['USER_AGENT'] header?
If it's a browser (MSIE, MOZILLA ect.) show the flash pages else show plain HTML.

what i meant by index was that yes, as long as its a 'text' element in flash, google can read it. that's all i know.
