What is wrong?

OK... this may or may not be a php issue, but hopefully someone knows the answer. I have a server and when I upload php files to it, it only reads the html and ignores the php script.

I thought it might be an issue with the script at first but when I uploaded it to a friend's server it worked perfect.

Then I thought php might not be installed but I am using a message board that incorporates php.

I e-mailed my tech support and they seemed to think it was a script issue, although that isn't obviously the case. The server I use incorporates v 4.3.2

Does anyone know what might be going on?

are you using <? ?> or <?php ?> for your tags?

Post the questioned script... We probably can't lend too many hands without seeing it, given the nature of your question.

The first time I noticed issues was when I posted a script like this:

<?php echo "Hello World"; ?>

</body>
</html>

It is simple enough but on my server it comes up just as a white page. Where as on my friends it actually says Hello World

Actually put some normal text in the page, too, so you can see that it's outputting something. And you have got it named as a .php file?
