Hey all, this is more an app question, but I am looking for a webcam program that will upload every x minutes and save them to an ftp server, preferrably to archive the images in a seperate directory, however any suggestions would be very helpful.

What I want to do is have them upload to my server and write a script in php to archive the photos. I have the php script done I think but I am having trouble finding a free program to upload and archive the uploaded images on the server, the trouble should be the other way around!

It should be possible to write one in PHP. With PHP running on the machine with the cam, and using a cron job (on Un*x machines) or Scheduler (on Windows), run a script on a regular basis. What the script does is: find the new images, use PHP's ftp functions to connect and log in to the server, and upload the image files. Then log out 🙂

You don't need a web server running on the webcam machine, you can install PHP as a command-line program instead (and this makes writing the cron job easier).
