countdown timer

I need a countdown timer script to place on my web exams. It needs to be in php and display continuously time left at a nominated place on the screen. Can anyone help

With php you can display the server time that the page was loaded.

With javascript you can display the countdown.

This is an example of php countdown, but this changes only when you reload the page

p.s. the date shown in this script is when i will FINALLY have my driving exam! 🙂

Thanks for this. I really do need a continuous display so if javascript is the only way to do it I'll have to use it. Do you have a script.
