multiple files with one php script

Hi
Just wondering if it possible to write one file called e.g. index.php and then if someone enters help.php that even though the file doesnt exists it will execute the script in the index.php and the url still says help.php?

The only thing I can think of would be to use mod_rewrite (if you're using apache)
